The local Tourist Assistance officers in Rocky Point recently got a helping hand from Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers
The Tourist Assistance Officers, or TAU as the group is known, are focused on being there to keep vacationers safe and out of trouble.
Coming in June is the annual Circus Mexican event that brings thousands of visitors to the city. For the third year, in recognition of the role that the TAU plays, Roger Clyne and his organization have made sure that the TAU gets equipment that they need to do their job.
This year, heavy duty boots and pants were donated in a ceremony this past Saturday at the local Fire Department.
On hand were representatives of the local TAU advisory Board. The group acts as advocates foe the group, and the work that they do. Jim Ringquist, of the Advisory Board said “Thanks very much to Greg Ross of the Roger Clyne camp for their continuing support of the TAU. We thank them for this years contribution from the Circus Mexican event.”
Circus Mexican organiser Greg Ross commented “On behalf of over 3000 visitors of Circus Mexican coming up this June, coming from over 30 states in the US, we want to thank the TAU for giving them a really safe and fun environment for everybody to enjoy in Puerto Penasco, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the city as well as TAU.”
Circus Mexicus runs June 7th through June 10th. This year various bands will play at an expanded list of venues for the fist time. The TAU will be there to assist visitors in need.
