A major International film is being shot in Puerto Peñasco, Mexíco. Based on the novel ¨La Ruta de Los Caidos¨(The Route of the Lost) by local author Guillermo Munro, the production has a record setting 6 million dollar budget.
Locations are being scouted in the rugged dunes and lava flows that spread north from Puerto Peñasco.
The story is set along the Camino Del Diablo, or The Devil´s Highway, during the Great Depression. A diverse group of travelers must cross this vast desert to reach the U.S.

Someone mentions that Rocky Point will host it´s first hot air balloon festival in January. Springall´s eyes light up. ¨I use any excuse to come to Peñasco¨ said the director.
