Circus Mexicus, June 2016
With all of the music and nonstop partying going on, Circus Mexicus this year seems to have grown to just about full on festival mode. Bands will be playing at a number of places around town.
Did you know that the Circus always contains an element of charity fund raising amid the all the soccer tournaments, Rolling Stone covers, and shots of Mexican Moonshine? This year, Banditos and JJ’s Cantina will be offering tickets to a raffle with a lot of cool prizes.
Number one on the list = some lucky winner will get to get up on the mainstage and introduce…the Refreshments! Got to be the prize of a lifetime for any die hard fan of Roger Clyne, am I right?
Friday at 6pm, the winners will be named from the stage. What can you win? Along with intro’ing the band, there will be signed guitars, sunset cruises from Del Mar Charters, golf with some of the Peacemakers, and more.
Sound good? Raffle tickets can be picked up Thursday, first day of the festival, at Banditos from 2pm to 5pm, and JJ’s Cantina from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. On Friday the 10th, Banditos has them again from 2pm to 6pm.
Charities assisted by the raffle include Esperanza children’s home, and the Local DIF Social Services.
