Mayor Ernesto Kiko Munro has published plans for renewing one of the major road entrances to the City of Puerto Peñasco. The City recently obtained funds for this project.
Fremont Blvd. enters from the East, then connects to Josefa, a major North / South Street. The plans look to address the turn off to the Las Conchas area as well.
From the office of Mayor Ernesto Munro…
“I’m sharing images of how Blvd. Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez will be built, from the right of way to Blvd. Freemont. Having obtained extraordinary resources for this project, we will build 4 lanes. We will also install current generation public lighting. There will be sidewalks and curbs, as well as a new drainage system.”
From this intersection over to City Hall at Blvd. Benito Juarez, Freemont is in great shape. Within the last year, it received new street lights and a major repaving. Blvd. Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez is second only to Benito Juarez as a major cross town route. Currently, it contains some of the most notorious pot holes in town.
