Cyclists came together for a two day trek from west Phoenix all the way to Rocky Point in the 3rd annual 207Mile Ride. This is a fund raising affair for 1mission. This group of caring individuals build houses for the less fortunate in Puerto Peñasco, and even Central America.
The 1mission group has a compound a few miles out of Rocky Point. This is where approximately 150 riders rolled in in Sunday after a challenging two day ride. Night one was spent at the High School in Ajo, and day two brought things to a close in the mid afternoon.
The organization insists on members of the community participating in the construction of their own homes. This is what money raised from the 207Mile ride provides. In time, they are expected to be part of the team helping the next family construct a home.
