This weekends King’s Day Toy Run has a whole lot of Matt Farris. The country singer played at the Rocky Point Rally in November, and will be here to kick things off Friday, January 9th starting at 6:00pm at Banditos.
Saturday morning, and he’s right back in it, playing the Fiesta at the Shrimp Park that starts at 10:00am. At 6:00pm, Dukes is the place to party while Matt plays an acoustic set.
Oscar Palacio and Shandra Keesecker, organizers of the Rocky Point Rally as well as the Toy Run, held a press briefing with last minute details today. The bottom line is that Rocky Point is ready for bikers who want to take advantage of the the nicest weather in the U.S. this weekend (70’s here, freezing everywhere else). Everyone is encouraged to come on down and brighten the lives of some grateful children. In Mexico, ‘King’s Day’ is the day that kids get presents, not Christmas.
Bikers who want to dress as Santa are encouaged to add the right feel to this event that helps the local DIF social services. Sponsors for the King’s Day Toy Run include Playa Bonita Resort, Hotel Penasco del Sol, Seaside Reservations, Dukes Restaurant and Bar, Rocky Point 360, Banditos, and the city of Puerto Penasco.
