Sonoran Sea Resort

The Sonoran Sea Resort is one of the classics on Sandy Beach. Designed with two towers, yet not as large as some of the other resorts, the Sonoran Sea has has a laid back and comfortable vibe that makes it a repeat favorite with vacationers.

It’s location is in kind of a sweet spot also. Going almost anywhere in Rocky Point seems to require getting in the car. The Sonoran Sea is within walking distance of Banditos. Just a block away, the big palapa bar is one of the more popular stops in Rocky Point. A little bit farther is the intimate Uno Mas Bar in Las Palmas Resort, and the well reviewed Sonoran Grill Restaurant is next door at Sonoran Spa Resort.

The Sonoran Sea has it’s own great place to eat with Restaurant de Ramon, run by long time Penasco restaurant owner and Taste of Penasco winner Ramon Ramos. On weekends you will find a nice breakfast buffet here.

One, two, and three bedroom condominiums are offered at the ‘Sea’, each with it’s own personality due to the fact that they are privately owned. Patios face out to the ocean on all units.

Other amenities include a workout room with a mix of treadmills and weight machines, a convenience store, outside barbeque grills, and a computer room for those who forgot to bring their laptop. A beautiful Old World style lobby sets the tone for the look of the architecture at Sonoran Sea.

*1,2, or 3 bedroom condominiums with full kitchens, wireless internet, and ocean front balconies.

*Exercise room

*El Restaurant de Ramon featuring Mexican favorites, a bar, and weekend breakfast buffet

*Two pools and an aqua bar

*barbeque grills

I loved staying at The Sea. From the moment I walked into the main lobby, I was awestruck. The view of the water from the first moments there was breathtaking! The pools are great, we played volleyball, and enjoyed the swim up bar, even if I was only drinking water! I would recommend The Sonoran Resorts to anyone.
