The new Portofinos Ristorante recalls two favorites from the Malecons’ past. Located in the building that used to be the popular Lillies Restaurant, Portofinos name comes from one Rocky Points first places to offer more than Mexican food. Portofinos original chef Juan Caballero returns to recreate the menu.
An intimate, modern dining room leads out to a patio overlooking the action on the Malecon. A second dining and patio area is on the second story, and is perfect for larger groups to have the place to themselves.
Seafood with an Italian touch describes Portofinos menu choices. Ingredients are notably fresh and high quality, pasta is homemade, and available wines are a good match. Creamy fetuccini, shrimp coctail Mexican or American style, warm focaccia bread to start, all these and more make dinner here memorable. Continuing a tradition from the original restaurant, The Italian Brunch serves favorites at a reasonable price.
