January Jam on the horizon

Along with Summertime’s Circus Mexicus, the January Jam has now become an established tradition in Rocky Point. Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers started the January concert as an off shoot of time spent here recording an album. This year it has become a mini-Mexicus. 3 days of various musicians, playing at different venues around town.

Each night the Peacemakers top the bill, at Las Palomas, Banditos, and Wrecked, respectively. Performers like the Jons, Shawn Johnson, Miles Nielsen, and others will be hand to keep the music flowing most of the day, January 18 through 20th.

Not one but two golf tournaments will be held. Saturday, it’s Mexican Moonshine Tequila Golf Classic, and Sundays Gonzo & Friends Charity Golf Tournament, featuring Diamond Backs legend Luis Gonzalez.

Cool stuff will be raffled to help the local charities that the Peacemakers have supported over the years. Lots of the details and ticket sales can be found at www.januaryjam.net
