The big Las Vegas style letters stand out on the Sandy Beach Skyline. ‘Las Palmas’ is spelled out in blue, changing to green, changing to red. Situated on top of one the high rise towers, the sign helps you find the resort which is kind of tucked in between two others.
One, two, and three bedroom condominiums are offered in four high rise towers set back from the beach. Fanning out in front of the ocean are the Casas, single story homes made to accomidate up to twenty vacationers, each with internet, cable TV a garage, and outdoor barbeque grills. The homes and high rises have a Mediterranian feel to their design.
In fact ‘Med’ is the name for the on site restaurant. Chef Jose Rodriguez presents Mediterranian Cuisine, one nice touch being that room service is also offered. There is an on site Spa, exercise room, and pool tables. Above ‘Med’ is ‘Uno Mas’, a beautiful palapa roofed bar offering large TV’s for watching the game, and views out to the sunset. Live music on Thursdays and Sundays brings lively Jazz and Latin music.
The pool area is the centerpiece of the resort. Lounge chairs and a pool bar are there for the adults. Kids can climb the stairs up a rocky mountain to the top of a big water slide! Las Palmas is the only resort with two story water slide, and it really helps to make this resort a favorite with families.
