FreshCo – the name says it all
Rocky Point had seen new restaurants and bistros popping up around town quite a bit over the past few months. It’s a nice trend because there is a variety of food choices that have not been here until now.
In the middle of town on Blvd. Benito Juarez (the main road) we find Freshco. With a modern look inside and out, Freshco is an attractive little place that makes soups, salads, and sandwiches with the freshest ingredients.
Pick a size for your salad, then choose your ingredients and dressing. Soup is usually cream of broccoli or tortilla. One really nice idea is the refreshing pineapple and cucumber drink (‘Piña-Pepino’). No sweetener added, just the natural fruit blended together.
The sandwiches are the main event. Over-stuffed, there is chicken with cream chipotle pepper sauce, roast beef with a little au jus on the side, tuna, and turkey salad with cranberries. What really makes these so tasty is the bread, all of it baked fresh at the restaurant by a chef who knows how to do it right. The pannini or baguette are some of the best in town.
Freshco offers home delivery too. Open six days and closed Sundays, from 10:00am to 9:00pm. On Blvd. Benito Juarez before the stop light at the intersection with Calle Simon Morua. Contact them at 638 105 1804 or on Facebook at FreshcoSalads.
