A landmark location, the top of Whale Hill has been the home of The Lighthouse Restaurant for many years. Lighthouse owners Armando and Iva Noriega are set to take a well deserved break from the restaurant biz.
Today a new chapter begins in the same location, as Fish Seafood Restarant & Bar makes it´s debut.
Chef Luca Appendino is well known for the fine Italian cuisine offered at Pane E Vino Restaurant on Blvd. Benito Juarez. The chef, along with his wife Karina, bring you something different in their second restaurant, Fish.
¨You know, people come to Rocky Point for the seafood. We are going to have a lot of great dishes on the menu¨ says Chef Luca. ¨Crab cakes, Salmon, shrimp. We want to serve real quality at a good price.¨
Before opening day, a lot of remodeling work was done to create a new look and feel. ¨Same view though¨ says Luca, as he point out across the patio. It is not unusual to see most of the diners at the restaurant stop and whip out cameras and cell phones to photograph the world class sunsets. ¨there´s no better view in town.¨
Getting ready for their first customers also includes ´¨plating¨ the menu for the staff. Everyone crowds around as the kitchen doors open, and the Chef places everything that the restaurant serves on a big table in the main dining room.
Details about ingredients and presentation are gone over. Details that will translate into a great dining experience.
