Two years ago, Rocky Point welcomed the classic cruise ship Astoria to her port. Now we have an oportunity to see a truly vintage vessel representing the days when traveling the seas was done by sail.

Cuauhtémoc is a training vessel of the Mexican Navy. For 40 years the ship has trained future sailors the basics of seamanship that translate to the modern age.

The ship is known for it’s extended voyages, and participation in events held worldwide, representing Mexico. The ship and crew of 240 (100 of which are cadets in training) will be in Rocky Point for the first time ever May 21st through 23rd. The ship will be anchored off shore, similar to the Astoria.

Best of all, the Cuauhtémoc will be open for tours. It will be a unique chance to see one of the worlds most notable ships!
